This is a mixed media image using paint, card and paper. The piece is bold and dark, the red paint is a signifier of the night and things that occur in the dark. The idea of danger, vampires and other such tales.
The black background brings to life the red print which drips down the page somehow reminding the viewer of blood. The central figure is mounted on a red rectangle piece of card and has a halo of bright pink. Her dress completely in black is a reminder of gothic times. A dark piece which strikes to the heart of viewers.
