In this piece, I fused the bold vibrancy of pop art with the intimacy of collage to celebrate strength and identity. The radiant halo and dynamic rays ignite a powerful energy, shining light on resilience and self-expression empowerment.
The colours used and patterns are a reflection of my heritage in Africa. Coming from Ghana full of gold (background colour) and the African inspired patterned paper behind the male figure with the bright orange rays brings the piece colourfully to life.
